Dr. Scott Goldstein received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University at Stony Brook, after receiving his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from there as well. Following dental school, he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, one of the premier oral surgery programs in the United States. Following residency, he opened his practice limited to oral surgery in Bayside.
In 1984, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is one of the few Board Certified oral surgeons practicing in the Queens area. Dr. Goldstein is also a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is licensed in New York to provide general anesthesia and IV sedation.
He is currently an Attending Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and New York Hospital Queens and teaches residents at both hospitals. He is also President of the North Queens Dental Study Club which provides continuing dental education to many types of dentists in the Queens-Nassau area.
His present interests in oral surgery include hard and soft tissue regenerative procedures and dental implants, having placed more than 10,000 throughout his career. Other specialties include cysts, tumors of the jaws, and third molar impactions.
